The pristine control of a studio environment offers infinite possibilities, but that very freedom can be paralyzing. Over the years, the Uziri aesthetic has been refined through a disciplined, predictable lighting workflow that prioritizes texture and classic elegance.
The Foundation: Single Light Mastery
Before introducing fill lights, rim lights, or gels, every session begins with mastering a single light source. Understanding exactly how light falls off from a key light-whether it's a massive octabox replicating soft window light, or a harsh beauty dish carving out cheekbones-is the non-negotiable foundation.
Our standard corporate portraiture relies heavily on a large, feathered softbox positioned at a 45-degree angle. By 'feathering' the light (aiming the core of the light slightly past the subject rather than directly at them), we achieve a gradient of illumination that feels organic and deeply flattering.
Color Grading in Post
Lighting shapes the form, but color grading sets the mood. The Uziri post-processing workflow is designed to be subtle and non-destructive. We lean heavily toward the 'champagne' and 'warm white' ends of the spectrum, carefully desaturating distracting backgrounds while preserving accurate skin tones.
The key to our aesthetic isn't heavy manipulation, but rigorous consistency applied across every single frame.
